Gold, Silver and Bronze Awards
The new Allergen Accreditation service enables your food business to operate at the forefront food allergy management best practice.
This service is supported/ developed by CaterCloud as part of its commitment to customers and continuous development for the industry.
Why it is important?
In the UK an estimated 2 million people are living with a diagnosed food allergy. The Government is introducing Natasha’s Law in October 2021 to ensure the public is protected against the potential for lethal harm from food allergies. This means that Catering operators are responsible for understanding their responsibilities as specified by law.
By demonstrating that your business is following best practice, you will provide confidence to your customers that they are being given accurate information, protection and allergy safe food.

In order to gain full Allergen Accreditation status an organisation will be required to undertake the submission of the framework application form. This is then desktop reviewed and followed by a physical audit to verify all components of the accreditation. Support and guidance to attain Accreditation is supplied throughout.
We have created an entry level to Accreditation and a platform for organisations to begin the process of aligning their allergen management to the industry best practice standard.
This is based on a self-assessment approach that allows organisations to work to full Accreditation at their own pace. In addition to accessing the members support area, clients will also have access to the new online support portal for operators to build their own:
This has been achieved in conjunction with CaterCloud from e-foods, who have made this resource available to members for Free.
Established as “led by the industry for the industry” this has now evolved, thanks to CaterCloud who have injected much needed technological support. CaterCloud has made its resources available to help improve the management of allergens and ingredient information in food services.
Entry level to accreditation can be achieved by the completion of the accreditation framework.
